Jak’s World

Suicide Prevention Charity

Jak’s World is a suicide prevention charity established in memory of Jakub, our beloved son, friend, and brother, who passed away of suicide on February 2nd, 2023. Jakub was an extraordinarily talented musician, achieving global success through collaborations with major labels such as Sony and Universal. His vast music collection and YouTube channel remain a legacy of his brilliance, yet his sudden loss left a profound void in our community.

We founded Jak’s World to support young people who, like Jakub, may face significant challenges as they navigate life. Our mission is to provide essential emotional and practical services, helping youth access career and education advice, music production resources, and mental health support.

We aim to raise £50,000 to establish Jak’s World Studio, a safe, supportive space where young people can receive guidance on careers, university applications, job interviews, financial management, and music production. We also offer emotional health support, with therapy, counselling, and mental health first aid, ensuring that no one feels alone in their struggles.

Our charity organizes events throughout the year, including World Suicide Prevention Week and memorial events for Jakub. Through these efforts, we hope to prevent another family from experiencing the devastating loss of a loved one. Together, we can make a difference.

Our Team

We are the trustees and volunteers of Jak’s World, driven by our deep love for Jakub and a heartfelt commitment to making a difference. Our work is fuelled by compassion, empathy, and the strength gained from our own lived experience with the profound impact of suicide on individuals, families, and society as a whole.

I’m Kasia, co-founder of Jak’s World, a licensed Suicide First Aid Tutor, loneliness and grief coach, and trauma-informed practitioner. My work is deeply shaped by lived experience after losing my son, Jakub, to suicide at a young age. From that loss grew a commitment to ensure that no one feels alone in their pain, and that conversations around suicide, grief, and mental wellbeing are met with compassion, understanding, and hope.

I bring together professional training and personal experience to create spaces where people feel safe to speak openly, without judgement or prejudice. Whether through teaching, public speaking, or one-to-one support, my focus is always on connection — helping people feel seen, heard, and supported in moments when life feels overwhelming.

As an Ambassador of Hope and founder of Jak’s World, I am passionate about bringing communities together, raising awareness around suicide prevention, and encouraging honest conversations about grief, loneliness, and healing. I feel privileged to walk alongside others in their journeys, offering warmth, empathy, and reassurance that even in the darkest moments, hope and connection are still possible.

Tracy

I’m Tracy, a trauma‑informed, person‑centred counsellor with experience supporting children in care, adults in crisis, and parents navigating tough moments. My own lived experience of trauma, loss, and feeling “not enough” deeply informs the empathy and understanding I bring to my work.
I offer a warm, real and down to earth space where you can talk openly and feel genuinely heard. We’ll explore whatever you need to — trauma, identity, grief, self‑worth, relationships — at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.
I’m truly privileged to work alongside this incredible charity and to play a small part in the support they offer. I believe everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, and able to grow, and no one should have to do that on their own.
