As we approach World Suicide Prevention Week, we invite you to join us in our mission to raise awareness, foster understanding, and eliminate the stigma surrounding suicide. Our charity is dedicated to creating a world where every life is valued and supported, and where the goal of zero suicide becomes a reality. From September 8th to 14th, 2024, we will be hosting a series of impactful events designed to educate, inspire, and bring our community together.
Whether you’re attending a workshop, participating in a community walk, or listening to a survivor’s story, each event offers a unique opportunity to learn, connect, and contribute to this vital cause. Some events are free to attend, while others require a small donation to help cover costs and support our ongoing efforts. By taking part, you’re not only showing your support but also helping us reach those who need it most.
Together, let’s stand united in the fight against suicide, offering hope, compassion, and understanding to all. Explore the events below to see how you can get involved and make a difference.
Autumn 2025
Jak’s World has offered something for everyone in Autumn 2025.
We finished the gifts we made in our Summer art workshops at Ordsall Library, funded by the Lowry. The paintings, tote bags, keyrings, pet rocks, friendship bracelets and words of hope attracted visitors to our stalls at Park Life, Salford Pink Party, The Tatton Family Fun Day, and the Lusoconnection conference for Portuguese speakers. Working with your hands can help you to talk.
