Dr Sohrab PandayFellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners
Sohrab is a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners based in Derbyshire. He has dedicated himself to the cause of suicide prevention over the last 15 years. He experienced professional and personal challenges due to suicide. He empowers colleagues to be trained and equipped to reduce suicide risk in patients and staff, as well as to reduce risk in the people tragically bereaved by suicide.
Robin GrahamDirector, Feel Good Communities CIC
My Guru said stand on street corners and laugh. He said we need more laughter in the world. Twenty-five years and a few street corners later, here I am, laughing with communities, companies and individuals to make our world a more tolerant, joyful place
Tammy PikeFounder, Jaime Horrocks Trust
Tammy is one of the founding members of Jamie Horrocks Trust, set up in memory of Jamie, Tammy’s brother, who took his own life in 2013.
Locally based in Salford, Tammy has used her lived experience to drive change through the Trust; running monthly suicide support group, supporting the weekly Lad’s Den, attending events to raise awareness of the power of conversations and running Youth Wellbeing Hub. A film developed with Salford CCG, become the most watched clip with over 25K views and growing.
Support and Resources – Jamie Horrocks Trust
Tammy now works as a Bereavement Practitioner for Greater Manchester Bereavement Service and is passionate about open conversation on grief/loss especially for those bereaved by suicide.
Emma KluibenschadlStak Life
Emma, a qualified teacher with over two decades of experience, has dedicated her life and career to supporting neurodivergent children, young people, and their families through training, consultancy, and one-on-one assessments.
Kasia HalaniAmbassador of Hope
Kasia Halani is a Licensed Suicide First Aid Tutor, Accredited EFT & Matrix Reimprinting Practitioner, and Co-Founder of Jak’s World. As a Loneliness & Grief Coach bereaved by suicide, she brings lived experience, compassion, and deep understanding to her work. Kasia is also an Ambassador of Hope, Public Speaker, Human Library Author, and is trained in Compassionate Inquiry. She is certified as trauma-informed and will be leading an Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) workshop at the conference.
Tristan KluibenschadlStak Life
Tristan is neurodivergent himself, holds a significant role as a core national trainer for the Anna Freud Centre’s National Autistic Training Program in London. This trainer program, commissioned by NHS England, focuses on training mental health and youth justice professionals.
Mike RichardTalk About It Mate
Mike Richard is the founder of Talk About It Mate, a Salford-based social enterprise supporting men’s mental health through peer-led groups and 1:1 support. A qualified counsellor and experienced facilitator, Mike creates safe, consistent spaces where men—especially those who feel isolated, out of work, or undervalued—can talk openly, connect with others, and feel heard.
Dennis BaldwinProject Manager, Start: Reach out
Dennis Baldwin has lived in Salford for over 22 years and is the founder of the multi-award winning Reach Out; Start to End Suicide campaign at START. An Australian-born mental health advocate and multiple suicide attempt survivor, Dennis brings a unique blend of innovation, compassion, and deeply personal lived experience to his work.
Rachael RichardsEducation and Community Mental Health Champion at Kooth
Kooth is a digital mental health company focussed on the mental health of children and families.

Through our website Kooth.com, young people can chat anonymously to mental health professionals every day for free. Our website Qwell.io
provides the same service for adults.

Many of us have been personally affected by the suicide of somebody close to us, myself included. I believe that by talking about it, giving people the information they need and the knowledge that there are places they can go will make a huge and positive difference to our communities.

We provide services such as Helpline, Assessment, Talking Therapies, Recovery, Domestic Abuse, Sexual Violence, Sexual Health, and Community Safety services that give a lifeline to those in need, offering hope and support on their journey towards achieving their aspirations.

Steven GavinPublic Health Strategic Manager, Starting Well at Salford City Council
Steve is a public health strategist with nearly 25 years experience of working to improve population health. He currently leads on suicide prevention for Salford City Council and passionately believes that every suicide death is preventable. Steve is currently committed towards developing a deeper understanding of the demographic and social risk factors for suicide, in order to be more effective at prevention. And partnership and community connection is critical if zero suicides are to be achieved
Gumcy & BrookeFriendly Charity Boxing Match – Gumcy vs. Brooke
Earlier this year, Gumcy and Brooke each stepped into the ring for White Collar Boxing events, using their time, energy, and fighting spirit to raise funds for charities close to their hearts – Gumcy for JaksWorld Charity, supporting suicide prevention and postvention, and Brooke for Body Mind Educate, promoting mental health and wellbeing.

Now, they’re coming together in the spirit of unity for a friendly exhibition match at the Salford Suicide Prevention Conference. This special bout is more than just sport – it’s about raising awareness, inspiring hope, and showing how community action can help save lives.
