Relive the Joy: Our Laughter Workshop – A Night of Healing & Connection!
On April 4th, Jak’s World Suicide Prevention Charity hosted a heartwarming Laughter Workshop at St. Clement’s Church in Ordsall, Salford. Led by a skilled laughter therapist, the session was a delightful escape from daily stresses, reminding us of the incredible power of laughter in healing and connection.
Participants enjoyed a relaxing evening filled with playful exercises, breathing techniques, and contagious giggles—all designed to reduce tension, boost mood, and foster a sense of togetherness. Laughter therapy isn’t just about fun; it’s a proven way to relieve stress, strengthen resilience, and create bonds in a supportive, judgment-free space.
At Jak’s World, we believe in the importance of mental and emotional well-being, and this workshop was a beautiful example of how simple, joyful moments can make a big difference. Whether you came to laugh, unwind, or simply be present, the room was alive with positivity and shared warmth.

Autumn 2025
Jak’s World has offered something for everyone in Autumn 2025.
We finished the gifts we made in our Summer art workshops at Ordsall Library, funded by the Lowry. The paintings, tote bags, keyrings, pet rocks, friendship bracelets and words of hope attracted visitors to our stalls at Park Life, Salford Pink Party, The Tatton Family Fun Day, and the Lusoconnection conference for Portuguese speakers. Working with your hands can help you to talk.
